My name is Michael. I have my roots in Denmark, but I'm half Danish/half Dutch. I spent the majority of  my childhood in DK but moved to Tokyo, Japan when I was ten. My brother DJ Akindo got into psy-trance while we were there, and it began to grow on me eventually as well as I began to notice the energy and joy in it, and it wasn't too long before I bought my first cd...

When the family moved from Tokyo to Vienna, Austria, my brother and I found ourselves in the midst of the growing Viennese Psy scene. This is where my love for psy-trance grew to where it is today. Through the psychedelic scene, I also fell in love with chill-out in all its various forms.

I have been Dj’ing since 2001, and since the summer of 2004 I have also been playing around with making my own music. I am mostly making chill-out for the moment, as my trance projects weren't really getting anywhere, although I suspect that I may be picking it up again soon...

I finished a BA in Media Studies in Portsmouth, England in 2007 and am now back in Denmark...

My Dj name Vonoom comes from the Native American language of the Tsitsitas and means 'fellow traveller'.
